2025
The founding meeting of the Lucerne Forum of Religious Communities took place on 7 May 2025 in the magnificent Marian Hall. The Ukrainian-Orthodox Church Parish of Lucerne has taken its rightful place by becoming an active member of the association, in which it declares its commitment to peaceful and respectful relations between religions in order to promote social cohesion and integration in the canton of Lucerne. An unconditional value of the association is also the recognition of the democratic rule of law and human rights. This marks a new milestone in establishing a constructive and friendly dialogue between different faiths, and an opportunity to build and maintain a good life together while taking different cultures into account.
We sincerely welcomed the newly elected President of the Lucerne Forum of Religious Communities, Nana Amstad-Paul (Roman Catholic Cantonal Church), and we express our deep appreciation to the other members, including: Nicola Neider (Roman Catholic Church Parish of the City of Lucerne), Tamar Krieger (Jewish-Liberal Religious Community), Muhamed Sabanovic (Islamic Religious Parish of Lucerne), Adrian Suter (Christian Catholic Church Parish of Lucerne), Peter Willi (Reformed Church Parish of Lucerne), and Miao Yen (International Buddhist Progress Society, Gelfingen Temple), for their valuable support.
We also express our gratitude to our auditors, Hans-Peter Bucher and Murat Ayalp, for their contributions.
Furthermore, we warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked our distinguished guest speaker, Sibylle Stolz.
Together, we are building strong bridges of peace, cultural recognition, and friendly coexistence in the spirit of interreligious communication.
